Anyone care to nominate their own food-focused TV show episode??? I'm gonna go get a snack...
Perhaps I should make one thing perfectly clear before someone gets all up in my shit for not mentioning the Seinfeld "Soup Nazi" episode. . .
ReplyDeleteThe episodes listed are only those that I own (on DVD or VHS) and can play for my own little self so I'm sure there are some great ones you guys can come up with that I didn't mention. But the "Must Own" rule doesn't apply to you so feel free to mention the roast suckling pig episode The Mothers-In-Law. What's that -- you didn't intend to mention that one??? What's wrong with you people?!?!?! Don't you got no culture?
Mad About You, Season 3: "Giblets for Murray" -- When Jamie and Paul try to have Thanksgiving dinner for 10, everything goes wrong...great running gag about a Korean grocer selling cooked turkey's...hysterical episode.
ReplyDeleteAin't those Thanksgiving episodes wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI just thought of another one actually (which I actually DO own so I'm ACTUALLY a douchechill for not mentioning it before):
A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving -- how bout that wonderful meal of popcorn and toast Charlie made for those ungrateful whippersnappers!
Thought of a few others;
ReplyDeleteI Love Lucy: when Lucy decides to bake bread and this huge (somewhat phallic) loaf of bread bursts forth from the oven pinning the wacky redhead to the wall.
The Munsters: when Lilly's chicken soup manages to remove little Eddie's beard (caused by one of Grandpa's experiments gown awry).
Bewitched: Episode was titled, "Bubble, Bubble, Toil and Trouble"; has a wonderful pie tossing scene when Endora and Serena both get hit with a couple of custard pies.
Pax, fancy you remembering that particular bread loaf! And I SO remember that chicken soup taking off Eddie's whiskers. And the custard pie fight. Gotta love that Agnes Moorehead.
