HALLOWEEN'S GONNA BE A LITTLE SADDER THIS YEAR. Our friends at Creepy Classics just informed me of the death of Richard Valley: publisher of Scarlet Street Magazine. Richard was undergoing chemotherapy and died this past Saturday. Scarlet Street has always been a great read for horror fans everywhere; it's been a fine publication since the day it started and has managed to STAY in publication throughout the rocky publishing waters of the last decade or so. Richard will be missed by readers of his magazine as well as monster fans everywhere. And I'll miss seeing him at his regular seat at the horror conventions.
