Beistle Resurgence

EVERYONE WHO KNOWS VINTAGE HALLOWEEN, KNOWS BEISTLE.  When I was a kid back in the 70's, my Mom had a bunch of original Beistle Halloween decorations of which I've spoken on previous Halloween Countdowns. In recent years, Beistle has returned with new and reproductions of their old-time Halloween decorations.  I've just picked up a few of them for this Halloween; including the awesome Witch Goblin (the OG of which I still own . . . though it's just a head now and it's lower body has long since disappeared).  Who knows?  I might pick up some more of this stuff but right now, here's what I gotted:

  1. I just love the Beistle stuff having grown up in the 1970's myself. My mother hung Beistle cardstock cutouts in all the downstairs windows and on the doors. Sadly, none have survived but I am happy to see some reproductions at the ARC thrift store.

    1. The same with me - my mother has a ton of them and I grew up with them. Happily, most of them still exist and I have them still. Probably my favourite -- the Witch Goblin pictures - lost it's legs years ago but the head is still with me. And as show in this post, Beistel reissued it (as well as countless other Beistle faves) and the new one has TWO count 'em TWO Witch Goblins in one package. So I'm over the moon!
