WE ALL KNOW ABOUT THE CRITERION SHOWA-ERA GODZILLA BLU-RAY SET THAT CAME OUT A COUPLE YEARS AGO.
Well, our good friends at Waxwork Records have announced for March 2021 a Kaiju-sized box set of the movie soundtracks for 15 Godzilla movies in their GODZILLA: THE SHOWA ERA SOUNDTRACKS 1954-1975. As groovy as the Criterion Showa set was, the Waxwork Records set blows it out of the water with wow-factor! Of course, the price is Kaiju-sized as well but, if you've got the dough-re-mi, this is a monumentally spectacular and beautiful set we'd all be lucky to have. I've gotten several Waxwork Records over the years and they're always beautiful but HOLY KAIJU, this set is jaw-dropping. 18 records (all with different multi-colored vinyl as all Waxwork Records are) in a superb display case with tons of new Godzilla art from Robert Sammelin which I just HAD to show here.
