"Wicked as fresh red paint and poisonous as dried spiders" since 2005.
Dom's finest film directed by Anne Bancroft in which he not only makes us laugh like hell but also does some genuine acting.
So sad that Dom is no longer with us. His appearances livened up some otherwise unworthy efforts (his Godfather sendup in ROBIN HOOD : MEN IN TIGHTS was a particular favourite of mine) and Burt Reynolds certainly owes him a great debt. R.I.P. Dom.
Weaverman, I couldn't agree more. His performance in MEN IN TIGHTS was hilarious. That scene made the entire movie. Also my favorite performance of his.
I can also do my "1 degree of separation" or whatever it would be for Dom DeLuise. My friend Paul bumped into him in an Atlantic City casino. I mean literally "bumped into" him. Paul was going around a corner, preoccupied with something or other, not looking where he was going and bumped into someone coming around the corner the other way. "Oh, excuse me" says Paul and keeps on walking while all his friends are going "PAUL! Do you know who that was?!?!" And Paul, still not paying attention, looks around and says "What? Who? Where?"
I too thought of that story about Pul running into Dom, didn't he drop a hoagie or something and started to laught his patented Dom laugh as well?
