Wow, even though that Natasha Kahn, Bat For Lashes chick is kinda hot I can't give her my support for song of the year. I thought my vote would go for the Dewey Cox song, however i was wrong. I have to give my vote to The Leisure Society and their song The Last of the Melthing Snow. But you are absolutely right, it was slim pickings for this year and you have a wider music interest than me so you can imagine how bad the choices are for me to go through and find nominees.
Ahh, C'mon you guys! I can't believe that Bob Dylan's Christmas album isn't even nominated. I'm snowed in here, sitting in front of a roaring fire roasting my nuts and I got my Bob to keep me warm. I admit I don't keep up with new stuff so I'll take your word that this year is Slim Pickens - Damn! them old cowboys get every where!
If you keep roasting your nuts you won't have your Bob to keep you company for long .... as for being snowed in, ditto for us - we are getting ready for a foot or more of snow in the next 18 hours. Fun NOT
I don't have it! I don't have it! I don't have Bob's new Christmas album -- OK that's a small fib since I DID get one songs from it free from itunes single of the week: an old favourite Christmas ditty called "MUST BE SANTA" I've had performed by Mitch Miller and his droning drones since I was a wee little elf. But there's always a chance that Father Christmas might send me the Dylan Christmas cd if he checks his list twice. And of course there's always next year. A cd doesn't have to be released in the exact year of the Penguin Awards; all it has to do is be "listened to" by me during the year and it's technically eligible. Can't judge music I haven't heard yet. That wouldn't be fair. So chin up, Bob. You're still in the running!
