Wow, I'm a bit surprised with The Black Keys and Chickenfoot winning. Super group and half of "Van Hagar" plus Satriani who is a better guitarist that Eddie Van Halen and that's saying a lot coming from me! Can't go wrong. That cover by Heart, Christ jeebus that was so good. Guess it means I have to figure out a list of noms and winners myself.
No one was more surprised than me since I was assuming for months that Muse would win album or song or both. But I had to go with what I listened to the most and enjoyed the most. Truth is there were a few naff songs on Muse's album and a couple not so hot ones on the Black Keys album as well. So Chickenfoot snuck up on me (it's scary when that happens). And Heart was a no brainer - there was never a chance it WOULDN'T win - although the fact that it shared the Cover Song award is rather impressive for Petula. I'm 80 years old so I'm gonna record a new album and then I'm gonna cover probably the biggest song of the last decade and THEN I'm gonna make it actually an excellent cover version as well.
