FAIR WARNING! FAIR WARNING!!!
Selections have begun to be made for consideration of the 2006 Penguin Awards. The field is wide and will be narrowed down when the day is done down to earth then sinks the sun along with everything that was lost and won when the day is done.
Sorry, Nick Drake just channelled thru me.
Makes a nice change from Shirley Bassey.
At least he's DEAD, after all.
You see, Shirley Bassey is still alive.
OK, I seem to have lost focus somewhere. Let's just reiterate that the final nominations for the 2006 Penguin Awards will be announced in November -- and the big winners will be announced at year's end.

I'll tell ya, it's been a very LEAN YEAR! Each year has been getting leaner as far as the music biz is concerned. Basically, there be a lot less nominees this year since there's been a lot less worth listening to.

Ah, yes. I remember way back in 2002 when I was just a little child. . .

There were so many STRONG contenders for song of the year, album of the year etc. Poor Ben Folds -- if he had released his Rockin' the Suburbs album this year he would've walked away with a Penguin Award...
