ONE OF THE DELIGHTS OF THE LAST SEVERAL YEARS WAS "THE SUPER HERO SQUAD". Even though it is geared towards younger kids than the traditional super-hero cartoons and the emphasis is on laughs, the show still has some of the best action sequences as well as the most pleasing super-hero character designs I've seen on Saturday morning. All this and the show uses as many characters from the Marvel Universe as they can cram into any episode. I mean, how great is it to see Power Man and Iron Fist animated?!?!
This episode I've chosen for today's Halloween viewing is a perfect example. Iron Man, though some convoluted shenanigans it's not necessary to go into here, finds himself catapulted into an alternate reality wherein he finds most of the classic Marvel horror characters: Man-Thing, Werewolf By Night, the Living Mummy (or rather a horde of them) and, of course, Dracula himself. Iron Man has run-down power packs, the Man-Thing has gas and Dracula hits Werewolf By Night on the nose with a rolled-up newspaper. Perfection for October viewing.
